Hot-dip galvanizing

The application of corrosion-resistant coating with the help of hot-dip galvanizing is the oldest and reliable way to protect metal from corrosion.
Domodedovo Plant of Metalware produces galvanized metal products since 1964 year. And now it is the oldest factory in Russia in its’ industry. Wealth of experience in galvanizing production, advanced technologies allow to name METAKO one of the leading galvanizing companies in Russia.
Since 1964 the plant produced galvanizing in a vertical bath with electric heating. This technology did not allow the company to ensure a proper product quality. Therefore, in 1998 the plant installed a horizontal bath with a gas heating with the depth of 2 m, a width and a length of 1.8 and 13.
Unfortunately, we didn’t know about this technology in that time. And it caused the engineering errors that did impossible to achieve the planned plant productivity.
In 2003, the METAKO shareholders made a decision to purchase new equipment for the complete upgrade of galvanizing production. In 2004, there was activated a new BISOL galvanizing bath with the depth of 13m, the other parameters were remained the same. In 2005 there was a start-up of a new drying chamber for 7 traverses.
The new equipment allowed ensuring the quality of plant products, and providing service to the other companies. In 2010 the plant finished the reconstruction of the own galvanizing installation. The plant started the installation of galvanizing metal products, small items and installing the Italian OMIS overhead cranes.
Hot-dip galvanizing is the most reliable and universal method to protect metalware from corrosion. Hot galvanizing is completely chemical process.
Zinc interacts with the metal only at temperatures of heating above 400 ° C. In addition, we can not ignore any phase of chemical preparation (degreasing, pickling in hydrochloric acid and fluxing). With the exclusion of any phase zinc will not go to the metal.
